Dr. Nancy Polow received her Bachelors degree in speech-language pathology from New York University and Masters degree in speech-language pathology from Seton Hall University. She received her Ph.D. in curriculum and teaching from Fordham University.
Nancy established Suburban Speech Center 40 years ago in South Orange. In 1998 Suburban Speech Center moved to its current location in Short Hills in order to increase its staff and update its facilities. There are presently 15 licensed speech-language pathologists on staff.
Nancy received national and statewide recognition as a practicing speech-language pathologist. She was recognized by the New Jersey Speech-Language Hearing Association (NJSHA) colleagues when they awarded her “The Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award”, “President’s Award for Excellence”, and the “Honors of the Association”. Her most recent award, the Distinguished Professional Service award, was received in 2014 from NJSHA. Nancy was featured on CBS “This Morning” as well as the National Geographic Network (The Science Times).
Nancy has served as an adjunct professor at three colleges and universities including Miami Dade College in Florida, Seton Hall University and William Paterson University in New Jersey. She has published numerous articles and books and lectured throughout the country.
Nancy is an integral part of each child’s speech-language therapy program. She meets with therapists, other specialists and parents to provide the most comprehensive treatment for each child.
